Old
Shenfield Place' is a Grade II listed building, originally constructed
around 1685. It was designed by Robert Hooke, a contemporary of
Sir Christopher Wren. Over the years it has seen many alterations
and additions, all sympathetic to the original design. Its gracious
and lofty aspects provide spacious, airy dayrooms and communal areas,
offering the quality facilities that our discerning residents have
come to expect.
The grounds provide interesting walks and seated areas amongst the
landscaped gardens and ample visitor car parking is available.
Old
Shenfield Place offers single and twin room options and there are
some bed-sits available for the resident who requires that little
extra space. Most rooms have en suite facilities, but those without
are furnished with vanity units and bathrooms are adjacent. All
rooms have adequate power points and a telephone point for personal
use. Remote controlled TV is provided. All rooms are carpeted, tastefully
furnished and decorated to a high standard, although residents are
encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own possessions
if they so desire.
Generally, we are unable to accommodate your pets, but we do have
'house-pets'.
